Tortolano's in Glasgow

"Suffered a power cut so headed off to get a chippy but had to head a little further afield as our local was affected by the cut. Walked in & the first thing you notice is nothing is in the friers, everything is cooked to order & There for fresh. Another thing is they are also a lovely ice cream & chocolate store, again all made on site in the shop & looks like a family run business too which is a great thing to support. My order was for 2 sausage suppers & 1 black pudding supper & came to £12.20 in total."

"Great selection of special chocolates, plain, white and milk ,lovely choice of fillings and flavours. Very patient assistant, advising about mixes and price. A wee bit more expensive than regular chocolates but worth for variety and quality"

"We really enjoyed our visit to Tortolanos! The staff were helpful and welcoming, making the experience even better. The ice cream was absolutely delicious, creamy and full of flavor. We also loved the little chocolates they had, such a cute touch! One of my favorite things was the old school sweetie counter, it added a charming, nostalgic vibe to the place. Overall, a delightful spot with great treats and friendly service. Definitely worth a visit!"

"Looked for somewhere different and found Tortolano’s for a new ice cream shop to try. The homemade ice cream was amazing. I had Scottish Tablet ice cream and the other was Honeycomb ice cream. Both were so delicious. Then my eyes were drawn to the home made chocolates. I chose too many. I ate too many. Loved seeing all the big tubs of sweeties, brought me back to my childhood. So I was definitely like a big kid in a sweetie shop. Recommended."

"Amazing ice cream - usually a queue outside on a sunny day/evening. The ice cream is incredible and they usually have a few flavours. Relatively expensive but worth it for quality/flavour. They do sweets by weight too - lots of traditional ones."

"Been going to Tortolano’s since I was a small boy - a local institution for ice cream and sweets and hasn’t changed for 30 years. All ice cream (gelato) is freshly made in house and nowhere beats their raspberry ripple or honeycomb. If you like artisan chocolates and traditional jars of sweets they have them all. Only thing I feel they are missing out with is offering ice cream milkshakes on the menu. Milkshakes with that ice cream would be superb."

"I visited Tortolano’s late in the day and to my surprise, it was still very busy. After trying their ice cream, I can now see why. Freshly made, great flavours and relatively quick service. Though the price is on the steep side for ice cream, it was worth the experience."
